The Argentine Water Chamber (CAA), in partnership with the National University of Cuyo, hosted HackathonH2O, bringing together students, professionals, and entrepreneurs to co-create solutions for real-world water challenges.
Three key challenges were addressed:
- Eco de los Andes: reducing uncontrolled water waste from artesian wells in the Tunuyán River basin.
- Tecnoriego: making digital monitoring tools for efficient irrigation more accessible to small and medium farmers.
- PMI Nuevo Cuyo: developing sustainable water access and management solutions for the indigenous Huarpe community of Laguna del Rosario.
Participants proposed innovative approaches ranging from digital platforms and low-cost sensor systems to community-driven models for water supply and management. The event demonstrated how cross-sector collaboration and open innovation can accelerate progress in water efficiency, sustainability, and social impact.
CAA invites partners to connect and explore opportuntiies to scale the solutions together. If interested, contact: info@camaradelagua.org.
