The theme for World Water Day 2026 will be “Water and Gender Equality”, which will focus on the role of water in gender equality and the inequalities that exist in access to water. This theme is supported by a UN-led task force and will highlight the interconnected issues of food, agriculture, and climate change, according to the SDG Knowledge Hub.
During World Water Day many events will take place globally to create awareness.
