Webinar: Case-studies of micropollutants bioassays- the real practice of effect base monitoring
Date: 26 April 2022
Time: 9.00-10.30 am (GMT+2)
Join us for the webinar “Case-studies of micropollutants bioassays- the real practice of effect base monitoring”, on the 26th of April, from 9.00-10.30 am (GMT+2).
This webinar is the second of a series of webinars aiming to share with a global audience the knowledge obtained in the Global Water Research Coalition (GWRC) project “Effect Based Modelling in Water Safety Planning”. The project is a collaboration between GWRC, KWR, Veolia, Suez, UFZ and Griffith University. The project addresses the implementation of bioassays for monitoring of micropollutants in water and wastewater treatment installations at a global scale, profiling experiences and case-studies from Europe, Australia, North America and South-East Asia. The series of webinars addresses how to implement bioassays for micropollutant monitoring, including bottlenecks and how to overcome them. The webinars will cover all perspectives from policy making to management planning to practical application.
The 2nd webinar will share best-practice guidelines. Furthermore, the real practice of bioassays monitoring will be addressed, showcasing global case-studies of water treatment plants. The panel of guests include Peta Neale (Griffith University, Australia), Jerome Enault (Suez, France), Brendon King and Stella Fanok (SA Water, Australia) and Natalie Aneck-Hahn and Catherina van Zijl (University of Pretoria, South Africa). The moderation will be done by Peta Neale and Geertje Pronk (KWR, the Netherlands).
The webinar aims for a lively discussion with speakers and audience, and therefore welcomes questions from the audience.
