Using the Water share tools to assess the feasibility of applying Water Sensitive Design Initiatives in the Waterberg catchment

Water Sensitive Design (WSD) is a planning and engineering design approach that looks at an integrated approach to water management with minimal impact to the environment. The approach is being investigated in a water stressed catchment in South Africa where rapid growth is anticipated. The impact (positive and negative) of applying various initiatives such as green roofs, grey water harvesting and reuse, decentralized treatment options etc. will be investigated using various Watershare tools.
