Watershare members are part of a family of trusted and highly reputable institutes. Moreover, their membership and access to the Watershare Suite of tools offers them the opportunity to build an attractive business model. Naturally, they remain completely independent, decide on their own IP policies, and are free to collaborate with any other party in pursuing their interests.
Watershare partnering requirements
In order to be eligible for Watershare membership the knowledge institute must satisfy the following criteria:
- Be focused on the water cycle, or parts of it, and aspire to broaden the scope of its research and expertise to encompass all of the country’s water cycle.
- Be publicly owned (Gold and Platinum members).
- Have transparent operations and quality assurance.
- Be managed proactively on the basis of advanced scientific, personnel and corporate business standards.
- Be financially healthy.
- Endorse the Watershare CAP (Collaboration Agreement and Protocol).
Watershare: three types of membership
Watershare offers three types of membership: Silver, Gold and Platinum.
The first membership level is Silver. Silver Members have access to the information on all the tools in the Watershare Suite, and have the right to select and apply two of these tools. Silver membership also includes 10 hours of support from experts in the field concerned. Lastly, Silver membership brings with it the right to participate in the annual Watershare Conference.
Gold Members profit even more from Watershare. They have access to the information on all the tools in the Watershare Suite, and have the right to select and apply five of these tools. Gold membership also includes 25 hours of support from experts in the field concerned. Gold Members can moreover have their own working models and methods developed into tools and upload them into the Watershare Suite. Participation in the annual Watershare Conference also forms part of the Gold membership.
The exclusive Platinum membership – of which there is only one per country – represents the highest Watershare membership level. Platinum Members have access to all of the tools in the Watershare Suite and the right to 100 hours of expert support per year. In addition, they can have their own working models and methods developed into tools and upload them into the Watershare Suite. Besides the annual Watershare Conference, the Platinum Member is invited to participate actively in Watershare public relations activities.
