The National Water Plan of Argentina refers to the supply of good quality drinking water as one of the main objectives requiring the development of a cost-effective arsenic-removal system for drinking water supply.
In this webinar, policy developments around arsenic removal will be discussed with Arq. Carlos Rodriguez (Secretario de Infraestructura y Política Hídrica de la República Argentina). AySA and KWR will share approaches to addressing arsenic contamination enabled through LEAF, a two-year project focused on Low Energy Arsenic Free (LEAF) water supply. Pilots are constructed at BHY, Santa Fe, Argentina based on a KWR design and were put in operation in December 2021. AySA already removes arsenic from groundwater and will share their success/challenge with arsenic removal technologies like RO and adsorption.
LEAF is funded by the Partners for Water programme of the Dutch government. The project pilots innovative drinking water supply technologies in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires, and upscales the technologies for further implementation in Argentina.
Kindly note that the webinar will be held in Spanish.
